Adult sessions

There are Group Coaching opportunities and Cardio Tennis for adults whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced player. We are always happy to discuss your requirements and will introduce new sessions if there is enough demand.

Sessions are run in blocks of 6 with discounts and priority given to those who book a block and pay in advance. So long as 48 hours notice is given, you will not be charged for non attendance.

Guide to Playing Standards

Below is a guide to the standards to help you identify which coaching groups might be suitable.

LEVEL 1/BEGINNER:

Has played very little or no tennis, or any other racket sports before.

LEVEL 2/IMPROVER:

Has played some tennis/other racket sports, can judge the speed and location of an incoming ball and can send it back into court but doesn’t know much about the game of tennis (where to stand, tactics, etc).

LEVEL 3/LOW INTERMEDIATE:

Has played for a little while and is playing more structured doubles/singles, starting to understand different positions and tactics. Can place the ball but not consistently. May struggle to serve consistently.

LEVEL 4/INTERMEDIATE:

Can consistently get the ball over and in off forehands, backhands, serves and volleys off a medium/higher pace ball. Has played structured doubles/singles and understands the basic tactics of tennis well. Level 4 is the benchmark for Club Mix Ins and most club sessions/club tournaments.

LEVEL 5/HIGH INTERMEDIATE:

Consistently plays with a higher pace, has a decent understanding of how to create trouble and get out of trouble on a tennis court. Steady mix in player, could play interclub matches.

LEVEL 6/MATCH PLAYER:

Plays with a high pace consistently and has played a lot of matches. Is solid tactically and technically, understands how to play/win matches. Steady mix in player, could play interclub matches.

LEVEL 7/ADVANCED MATCH PLAYER:

Has played tennis for a long time, competed in teams/tournaments at a high level and understands all aspects of the game very well. Includes older Academy Juniors, Senior County players and elite team players.

LEVEL 8/TOUR:

Has gained mastery in the main areas of tennis technique, tactics, physical prowess, mental toughness and emotional control.
