Club Finals Day Report
The Club Finals took place on Sunday 23rd July on a rare dry day this summer. Club coach Tom Pullen won his second Men’s Singles title, beating 18-year-old Alexis Chastang 6-1 4-6 10-6 in very blustery conditions. Tom and Alexis paired up to win the Men’s Doubles title, beating Ben Abbott and coach Greg Hill 6-1 6-1.
The Mixed Doubles title went to Antoinette Chastang and Joe Cooper who beat Greg Hill and Caroline Griffiths 6-1 6-4. Antoinette teamed up with CCCU member Olivia Stapley in the Ladies Doubles, the girls being childhood friends from the junior competition circuit. They beat Rebecca Cooper and Joanna Moore 6-3 6-2.
Lisa Jones was Ladies Singles champion beating Judith Newson in a competitive final 7-6 6-3.
